High altitude trekking

This expedition is perfect for experienced mountaineers in good physical condition, as you attempt to summit to 6000m Bolivian Summits: Huayna Potosí (6088m) and Nevado Sajama (6548m), which is the highest peak in Bolivia. Both of them are classified as PD, although there are still challenges along the way, including the altitude and weak oxygen levels, the snow, and ice. On Huayna Potosí you will also come across 45° slopes, and on Sajama you will cross over glaciers.

The trip also includes two training and acclimatisation treks, where we reach a summit of 5300m at Chacaltaya, near La Paz, which has an amazing view over the Royal Cordillera. We then leave to do a part of the Takesi Trek (40km). On this “Inca Trail”, you will spend 3 days in the subtropical valleys of Yungas, climbing from 2100m up to a pass at 4650m. We will also climb Pequeño Alpamayo (PD) at 5400m in the Condoriri zone.
