| Trek amongst a vivid Jungle and Glacier Lakes |
|
The Kanchenjunga is the highest summit in India and third highest in the world. It is situated at the triple frontier of India, the Sikkim region, and Nepal. This trek of a moderate level is recommended to inexperienced trekkers, and will bring you to the Kanchenjunga base camp across the foothills of Sikkim. Under a clear sky, surrounded by colourful nature, you will walk for 8 days through an almost uninhabited jungle in Sikkim. This is where magnolia, orchids and rhododendrons grow amongst waterfalls and rapids, and where thousands of flowers burst into colour every spring. Due to it being far away from the tourist routes, this unknown region can evoke feelings of the mystical Shangri-la. This trek also travels to the foot of the Kanchenjunga by the moraines of the Oglathang glacier, and it’s beautiful region of glacier lakes, giving you the opportunity to take in some incredible views of the Himalayas. |
