| Glacier summits, subtropical jungles, flowers and butterflies |
This is a relatively easy trek along hill paths on the frontiers of India, Nepal, and the ancient kingdom of Sikkim. Away from the usual tourist routes, we spend these six days trekking in the natural park of Singalila, underneath the clear sky and surrounded by colourful nature. This almost uninhabited subtropical jungle is home to many waterfalls and thousands of magnolias, orchids and rhododendrons. These are all decorated by the delicate butterflies who add to the natural beauty. However, this trek also shows the amazing diversity in India’s landscapes: from the jungle of Singalila you will be able to see the snowy summits of famous Himalayan summits that dominate this region: the Kanchenjunga, the third highest summit on earth, the Lhotse, the Makalu and last but not least, Mount Everest. |

| The peaceful region of Darjeeling, the tea capital, and surprising Calcutta |
This park’s exceptional wildlife includes the red panda, the Himalayan black bear and the snow leopard, all of which you could spot during your journey. However, you will also have the opportunity to discover the city and region of peaceful Darjeeling. The "Queen of the Hills" is one of the best regions in the world for tea culture and you will visit the highest tea plantation on earth. This 13-day trip also includes a visit to Calcutta, the surprising capital and the former principal city of the British Empire in India. |
