High altitude trekking

The Huascaran National Park, one of Peru's precious gems, is a Mekka for climbers wishing to conquer 6000m peaks and enjoy the magical scenery of the White Cordillera, a UNESCO world heritage centre.

The Huascaran (6768m) is the second highest summit of the Americas and highest in Peru. This ascent is considered technical and requires a fairly good mountaineering experience combined with a good physical condition and acclimatisation. The acclimatisation process starts with an altitude trek followed by a 5000m climb; the Pisco at 5 752m.
