A climb to the Roof of Europe : 5 642m. / 18 510 ft
Mt Elbrus is the highest peak of the Caucasian range and a natural boundary between Asia and Europe as well as between Russia and Georgia. The mountain has two summits – the West Summit at 5 642m and the East Summit at 5 621m. The first ascent was carried out by Russian pioneers in 1829, starting from the source of Malka river. We will be making our ascent by the classic south route.
Acclimatisation treks in one of the most beautiful regions of the Caucasus.
Popular amongst Russian mountaineers for decades, Mt Elbrus became an international success in the early ‘90s, with the increasing numbers of foreign mountaineers making this a classic ascent. During the acclimatisation program, you will have the opportunity to discover the beautiful and untouched landscapes of Azau and Terskol. We will hold a training session with crampons to make sure that you are fully prepared for the final, technical part of the climb. Accommodation will be in friendly mountain refuges and all meals will be fresh and homemade during the expedition.
