Due to its geographic isolation, Tibet is a great example of an Asian culture that westerners were late in discovering. These years of isolation enabled Tibet to preserve an original and rich culture. Our trip will be a unique experience, where we dive into the Tibetan way of life and get a feel for this culture that is still very strongly influenced by Buddhism. In Tibet, monks still chant the same mantras that they have done for centuries, always living between magic and mystery.

After 3 days of acclimatisation at Lhassa and a visit to Potala, the Tibetan routes will lead you through lunar landscapes towards the region's cultural delights. You will visit the Great Monastery of Tashilhump and the Kumbum Stupa with its golden cupolas, both architectural wonders. The routes continue south, towards Gyanste, an ancient and important trading house on the silk road that is dominated by its high fort walls; and Ganden with its Gelupa monasteries, that, despite destruction during the Cultural Revolution, surpass those in Lhassa. By throwing yourself into the local way of life, you will experience 13 days that are beyond your imagination.
