| Untouched Tibet |
Tibet inspires magic, respect, and mystery at the same time. Situated on a plateau at 5,000m it is embedded in two of the highest mountain ranges in the world. Centuries of isolation have created a unique and rich culture with well conserved and untouched traditions. Lhassa was only discovered by western visitors in the beginning of the twentieth century but it remained a forbidden city for many further decades. With visits to the Yarlung valley and Lhassa, which has been the centre of Tibetan history since the 7th century, this trip is a real voyage into the past that we would love you to experience. |

| The labyrinth of alleys in Gyanste and Shigaste |
By visiting these ancient sites that remain the pillars of social and religious life in Tibet, you will be able to feel the cultural impact that this region has throughout the whole of the country. As we retrn to Katmandu, we will see the unique monasteries of Drepa and Sera where the monks hold theological debates continuously. We will also visit the Khumbum Stupa with its golden cupolas of Mongolian architecture, the turquoise waters of the Yamdrok Tso Lake that reflect the surrounding landscape, and the labyrinth of alleys of Gyantse and Shigaste. Travelling through Tibet, with its lunar landscapes and the snowy summits of the Himalayas, you will gain unforgettable memories from this rare glimpse of a once-hidden culture. |
