A unique cultural program that takes you through the symbolic towns on the silk route during the Uzbek New Year celebrations. You will visit Khiva, Bukhara, and Samarkand, with the highlight being the celebrations on the 21st March in Kouchrabad, not far from Samarcand, where you can take part in this regional gathering with its folkloric songs and dances, troubadours, traditional dishes and the famous game of buzkashi, with over a hundred horse riders.

At the beginning of spring, Uzbeks celebrate “Nowruz”, or New Years. The universal symbol for rebirth, “Nowruz” coincides with the equinox on the 21st of March and signals the start of a new year. This celebration comes from the Zoroastrians and is celebrated throughout central Asia, keeping its place alongside the Islamic festivals. It is a symbol of friendship and peace, but especially springtime for the Uzbek people.
