3 different routes, for all levelsTrek Online puts forward 3 different routes to reach the summit, with levels rating from F to PD. The Normal route (F) is the most accessible. The Polish route (PD), a route less used than the previous one because its glacier passage, which makes it more technical. It is a true glacier expedition, with ice axe, ropes and crampons. Although the passage on the glacier takes place on the last day before reaching the summit, you are nevertheless progressing in high altitude, facing the cold and the strong winds sweeping on the eastern slope. The climb requires experience, very good reflexes and motivation.Last, the "Aconcagua 360°" rated (F), which is a complete loop tour of the mountain. Although less used than the Polish route, it will enable you to discover the Aconcagua from different angles. On the other hand, this route is more exposed to the wind than the other two routes; with the crossing of the "Portezuelo del Viento", located just below the summit and where unpredictable cold winds blow. |
