TREK ONLINE was founded by a group of enthusiasts and professionals of the travel and tourism industry. For a long time they organised expeditions to the summits for their own purpose, before creating their agency. Thanks to that experience, they noticed that the expeditions which they classified as been successful were those which were organised with the help of local habitants. A local link, either due to precise essential information, or accommodation, or discoveries,... A link which mainly guarantees the success ... |

The founding team of TREK ONLINE considered the fact that a trip in regions with extreme contrasts only make sense when a human and a social link is established. As a matter of fact, only thanks to this link with the habitants to the immersion in their culture that a traveler “travels”... And once can enjoy the extraordinary harmony between the culture of a country and the surrounding nature! |

The team of TREK ONLINE was able to select the best routes, the best mountains, the best ways and the best places, because the founders of TREK ONLINE are often members of local associations, i.e. the Club Andino Boliviano (Bolivia) or the Club Andinista de Mendoza (Argentine). Therefore they have a real knowledge of the local field and enjoy recognition in several villages. |

If it is in Bolivia, Argentine, Chile, Nepal, in India or in China, our local guides, because born in the villages through which we travel and not from the capital are often well integrated in the local roots. They will make you discover all the wonderful beauties of their environment. |

TREK ONLINE forced itself to respect this charter «Quality & nature» (see below) in which we particularly engage ourself to bring back and to recycle 100% of the non-biodegradable rubbish. |

Having a specific taste for physical and technical performance, we certainly specialised in exceptional expeditions and sportive trips. But we founded TREK ONLINE because of our passion for the worldwide cultures and we would like to transmit this to all of you irrelevant of your level. |

Also, in order to be able to accept people with different physical levels we really wish and are pleased to initiate and teach the necessary techniques to discover those exceptional places (alpinism, Walks on ice, climbing, etc.). Please don’t hesitate to contact us to discuss the necessary initiation programme in order for you to make your dream become real. |

Smooth and adapted acclimatisation |

It is for the same reason that all our trips integrate acclimatisation programmes in order to get you used to the altitude and the effort for the specific training adapted to each of you. Some of our expeditions integrate more than 4 treks or acclimatisation practices, which preceed the expedition. |

We guarantee your departure whatever departure date you have chosen. In line with the spirit and the quality of our agency all our trips are will be realised with a limited number of participants. |

Our groups are not bigger than 6 people and only exceptionally up to 8 people. During the expedition «High mountain», the group has one guide for two people who allows a tailored organisation and enables us to listen to your expectations and are able to adapt if necessary. Or to recognise your physical limits and "reduce speed" if necessary. This is always possible. |

In expeditions our objective is never only to reach the summit but to return safely. Our tailored organisation enables us to changes the programme: According to weather conditions we will always be able to offer alternative solutions. With this in mind no expedition ever failed. We know the reality of the expedition: In the mountains we will always leave the last word to the nature... |

All our group have 2 sattelite phones, one for the group and one for the guide for communication with the base camp and the main city. This phone allows us to be in permanent contact with the base camps in the different starting cities. Our guides also have walkie-talkies in order to have a permanent contact with the base camp and offer a relay if necessary. |

|
We have oxymeters, in order to identify possible «Mountain sickness», and have «North Face» tents, sleeping bags”-20 C°”. Furthermore, we bring with us all water that we use. |

An assured quality control |

TREK ONLINE does a quality control as well during the preparation of its program as well as when the trips are over. All our treks and expeditions have been tested from a team of professionals which is demanding in regards of the sportive and cultural touch as well as of the beauty of the landscapes. |
|
|
Our high mountain guides are certified guides from the Andean Club of Bolivia, the Andean Club of Mendoza or any other local high mountain club. They have a strong field experience; know the paths and the effects of altitude. Most of them have followed advanced training courses at the ENSA in Chamonix, France. All speak English and most of them also French. |
|
|
Guarantee of expectations, TREK ONLINE has strong relation/link with technical partners either with worldwide known guides such as Marc BATARD who also guides some of our expeditions or with famous manufacturers such as BEAL® (cable), PELTZ® (equipments), GORE-TEX® (clothes) or STAR POLE® (similar as the Vieux Campeur in Belgium). |
